Are there any student loans that do not require a cosigner or excellent credit?

Question by Kimberly B: Are there any student loans that do not require a cosigner or excellent credit?
I am interested in finding private loans only. I have applied for a Parent Plus and got denied so I am eligible for at least 4000 in a unsub loan. I have also applied for a sub loan. Unfortunately I am not eligible for a Perkins loan or any other gov’t loans. Are there any private loans that do not require a cosigner?

If you have a Social Security number and some credit history (even if not excellent) you can apply for a student loan through a bank without a co-signer. Sometimes your target school may have a tie up with a bank.
